A Norda profile can live on your home screen like any other app. It opens full screen, with no browser bar, and it still works when you have no signal. Nothing is downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
How do I add it on iPhone or iPad?
Open the profile in Safari, then:
- Tap the Share button in the bottom bar. It is the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down the list and tap 'Add to Home Screen'.
- Check the name, then tap 'Add' in the top right.
This only works in Safari. If you opened the link from Instagram, LinkedIn, Messenger or a QR scanner app, you are in that app's own browser and the option will not appear. Tap the three dots or the compass icon and choose 'Open in Safari' first.
How do I add it on Android?
Open the profile in Chrome, then:
- Tap the three dots in the top right.
- Tap 'Add to Home screen', or 'Install app' if that is what you see.
- Confirm the name and tap 'Add' or 'Install'.
Chrome often offers this by itself with a small bar at the bottom of the page. If you see it, one tap is enough. Samsung Internet and Firefox have the same option in their own menus.
Do I have to install an app?
No. There is nothing to download and no account to create. A Norda profile is a web page, and adding it to your home screen just puts a shortcut there with its own icon.
The person you share your profile with never has to install anything either. They scan a QR code or open a link and the profile is there.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, once you have opened it at least once. The profile is stored on your phone, so contact details, photos and services are all there in a basement, on a plane or on hotel wifi that has stopped working.
Anything that leaves the profile, like a booking link or a map, still needs a connection.
Will it stay up to date?
Yes. When the profile owner changes a phone number, adds a service or swaps a photo, your copy updates the next time you open it with a connection. You never have to reinstall it.
Is this the same as the Wallet card?
No, they are two different things and you can use both. The home screen icon opens the full profile. The Wallet card sits in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with the QR code, ready to show without unlocking much.
How do I remove it?
On iPhone, press and hold the icon, choose 'Remove App', then 'Delete from Home Screen'. On Android, press and hold the icon and drag it to 'Uninstall' or 'Remove'.
Nothing is left behind on your phone, and the profile stays online.
The icon looks wrong after I added it again
Phones cache home screen icons hard. If a profile has been updated and you add it a second time, you can end up looking at the old icon.
Remove the old icon first, close the browser tab, then open the profile fresh and add it again.
